About Me
Hello. I began my interest in Paganism a few years back but didn't become reacquainted again until recently. I'm interested in a variety of things so I'm kind of like an explorer looking around and getting to know things until I find something I really like (henceforth, the name of my site: Peregrinus Perceptum). Right now, I'm in the really early stages of Solitary Witchcraft. Hopefully someone's out there like me. If you want to start a group, let me know! :D

Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. lol (yeah, that's his name and I remember it by heart!) I'd also have to say Jules Verne, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, JK Rowling, and Ralph Nader. Also, the Dalai Lama, Pope John Paul II and recently Maharishi Mahesh Yogi!
There's a little name change! Peregrin Rabbit. Peregrin is from the Latin word "peregrinus," which means traveller. Rabbit is my Chinese sign and the description of us Rabbits really spoke out to me. But I didn't pick it as my magickal name until the second round of looking through names. Rabbit spoke out to me spiritually - internally - personally - as well as my surroundings did. It was a new occurrence for me, but I understood what it meant. It's beautiful to be able to feel it, and I really love Peregrin Rabbit - after all, it's me! lol. Loving yourself is really important, because there is a relevance between love for yourself and love for others.
By the way, I will sign my old nickname Bilbo Baggins - which was a pretty good name, and the Lord of the Rings character sort of resonated in me because of his adventures and travels - alongside Peregrin Rabbit so that there's little confusion. Thank you, and take care! I wish every one happiness, health and spiritual strength and guidance. :D
Forget what I said two days ago, these ads are very nice! They appeal so much better, that I would literally click on them. lol. I really like covenspace and just by how the people are remarkably great. I'm going to donate (not a lot, but I guess many small donations would make a difference): I found it on the covenspace homepage where it says "Pay Pal Donate." There you go! Take care and good luck! Happy Valentine's Day, and for those of us who are single... Happy Single Awareness Day! :D
It's a bit intriguing in the sense of a Witch to think of wildfires. What happens in a wildfire? The destruction of many habitats for familiars, perhaps, and it's unfortunate for the time being. An unlikable view of a beautiful, gigantic sentinel tree going timber to the ground all burnt up and all. But what is probably peculiar is a migration of animals going toward the burnt wilderness (or what was left of it). And actually...in a sense the wilderness is still there...regardless of whether a tree is seen standing or not. :)
I remember listening to a study on why this happens: the animals who embraced the wilderness were really taking advantage of the wilderness's resources. I guess it's kind of like the saying "life goes on". Later on, much later on, after the newly transformed wilderness became a resource to feast on, the trees regrow much stronger, much thicker!
In addition to this, it's much like fall and spring: the leaves fall sometime during October, and then they regrow beautifully during the Spring. The winter is only a phase.
I had been reading the new "Your Personal Astrology Planner 2008" by Rick Levine and Jeff Jawer and fell upon two sentences. They were said like this: "To our ancestors, the planets actually animated life on Earth. In this way of thinking, every beautiful flower contains the essence of Venus."
It struck me! Scientifically, it's true; every beautiful flower does...literally...contain the essence of Venus. Ever heard of the story of our Sun once being a Red Giant? Well, when the Red Giant exploded in our universe long ago its remnants remained and stirred like a cloud of dust. At the center, the dust accumulated and turned into what is now our Sun. Later on... the other dust particles accumulated around the Sun in a revolution. They became: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Earth, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and the outer ring (I forgot the name). Venus, literally, is related to us just like the other planets are related to us and as the Sun!
To some, this may be "Duh!" lol, but for me, I really enjoy taking pieces of a puzzle and putting 'em together. Science tends to explain things differently than spirituality/religion (in this case, astronomy and astrology). However, their explanations aren't so contradictory, just in need of a translation!
Hello. I'm a beginner and only started reading a book by Edain McCoy called "Making Magick: What it is and how it works." I'm a Christian and continue to be one. However, it doesn't mean that I'm not interested or not looking into witchcraft for guidance, personal growth and a happier life. If anyone would like to contact me... I'd be really glad to reply and work with you. Thank you!
P.S. My name isn't really Bilbo. It's a nickname I'd like to use for myself, lol. Bilbo Baggins is a character from Lord of the Rings and what he said to Gandalf about how much he missed the mountains and the adventure... really resonated in me.
A couple of months ago, I moved to central Florida after living in South Florida for a few years. I'm a college student who would like to grow spiritually and loosen up a bit (in a good way). Being depressed and a lonely (it goes with my lifepath number, hmm) is something that I'd like to move on from.
The quotation that I have is from the Old Testament and the reason I chose it was, (1), the story (about Yosef who had prophetic dreams but was disowned by his brothers) ended happily with a family reunion and a blessing from the father, (2) when asked about his prophetic dreams and interpretation of others'... Yosef's response was that the abilities did not come from him solely but from God. I read up on Edain McCoy's "Making Magick" and how gathering energy from the Earth allows us to perform magic. So, on one sense, I'm able to see a correlation between Judeo-Christian beliefs and Paganism. It's just a thought!
Also, the moon is my photo because I'm amazed by its view and I do notice instability whenever it's full.
Anyway... this looks like a long P.S.! Take care of yourself and remain strong - spiritually, mentally, physically. If you'd like to be a friend of mine... add me. I'll be glad. :D
